GCNM Application and Admissions Process

GCNM Application Duration

GCNM opens the Application Portal for 3 Months each Year. (March – May)

Purchase of Application Voucher

Purchase Application Voucher (PIN) through specified outlets ie. Republic Bank/ on USSD/ on the Web

Access and Completion of Online Application

Access online Application Form via www.gcnm.edu.gh, complete the form, attach required documents, and submit completed form.

Confirmation of Application

Receive an Email and/or SMS alert on successful submission of the completed Application Form.

Post Printed Application Forms

Print completed Application Form, attach copies of required documents and post by EMS to:

Legon.

Primary Entrance Exams

All submitted applications will be evaluated and qualified applicants will be invited by Email and/or SMS alert to write the Primary Entrance Examination.

Invitation for Interview

Applicants who pass the Primary Entrance Examination will be invited through Email and/or SMS alert for Interviews.

Offering of Admission

The Successful Applicant is offered Admission and notified via Email and/or SMS alert.

Payment of Required Fees

The Successful Candidate pays the required fees to register on the GCNM Resident Portal.

WHAT QUALIFICATION IS REQUIRED FOR GCNM PROGRAMMES?

A Prospective applicant must be a Registered Nurse / Midwife/ Mental Health Nurse/
Public Health Nurse and possess:
I. Diploma in Nursing/ Midwifery and 3 years post qualification experience for
the 1-year related programme
II. Degree in Nursing/ Midwifery and 5 years post qualification experience for the
3-years related programme

DOES GCNM OFFER SANDWICH PROGRAMMES?

No. GCNM does not offer sandwich programmes. The college offers full time
programmes at all levels of specialization.

DOES ONE NEED A STUDY LEAVE TO ENROL IN GCNM PROGRAMMES?

All persons interested in pursuing a programme of study at GCNM require study leave
approval from their employers before enrolling into the desired programme
