GCNM @ 10 years Launched

The Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives has launched its 10th Anniversary celebrations at the just ended 7th AGM & 4th Seminar which took place from 9th-13th October, 2022 at the Pentecost Convention Centre. The Minister for Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyemang-Manu and the out-gone GCNM President, Dr. Abigail Kyei launched the celebration.

As part of efforts to reach out to more people, other points such as Child Welfare Clinics, Fishing Folks, Churches and Mosques were added to the already agreed meeting points. This was to enable the team to reach out to more people and help demystify rumours related to COVID-19. The CEs also aimed at promoting positive behaviour change towards the adoption of COVID-19 protocols and vaccination throughout the communities, particularly focusing on women and girls. It also offered the team the opportunity to bring the COVID-19 vaccines to the door-step of the people.

There will be a celebration on the birthday of GCNM on 3rd April, 2023 and the entire celebration will be climaxed at the 8th AGM & 5th Scientific conference in 2023.
